Culinary ProgramsThe Art Institute of Virginia Beach is located within a resort city where students can enjoy miles of beaches. The oceanfront hosts hundreds of hotels, motels, and restaurants. Virginia Beach even holds the world record for longest pleasure beach. Student at The Art Institute of Virginia Beach can take advantage of the area's warm climate, southern culture with historical significance, and numerous parks.

Culinary Programs Offered:

Culinary Arts
In the Culinary Arts program, you’ll have an opportunity to gain practical experience in the kitchen while studying the business of cost control, sanitation and safety, menu and beverage management, nutrition, and kitchen management. You’ll have an opportunity to learn to produce food quickly and in quantity while working with others. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).

Culinary Arts Management
In the Culinary Arts Management program, you’ll focus on what it takes to manage a kitchen, restaurant, or catering operation. You’ll study communications, training, leadership, management, accounting, marketing, financial management, and employee relations. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as restaurant manager or catering manager in restaurants, hospitals, cruise ships, and banquet facilities.
